Something for Everyone
Camps target the grade your child will enter in the fall.
- Kindergarten and 1st Grade Camps Half-day camps offer a variety of activities and movement at the Museum.
- 2nd and 3rd Grade Camps Half-day and full-day camps delve deeper into the science, offer more experiments, and include field trips both on and off the University campus.
- 4th and 5th Grade Camps offer full-day and half-day adventures, take kids off the University campus, and offer increased creative expression. NOTE: MarsBots is a FREE camp.
- 10th - 12th Grade Camps Teens are exposed to science at work in University laboratories, in education and career choices, and in the investigation of a mock homicide. Both of our teen camp offerings are offered FREE of charge.

- Half-day M-F: $135 per child; $115 for UMNH Members
- Half-day M-Th: $110 per child; $90 for UMNH Members

- Full day M-F: $220 per child; $200 for UMNH Members

Fourth - Fifth grade camps:
|
|
- Half-day M-F: $135 per child; $115 for UMNH Members
- Full-day M-F: Varied, see individual listings
- NEW this year: MarsBots. FREE due to funding from the Phoenix Mars Mission and NASA

Science Classes for Teens
|
|
- Gastropods Attack 10-day course: FREE, sponsored by National Science Foundation
- DNA Crime Lab 5-day course: FREE, due to funding Governor’s Office of Economic
Development and the State Science Advisors Office

Camp Times
|
|
- Half-Day Camps Run 9:00 a.m. to Noon or 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- For campers who sign up for two half-day camps during the same week, the Museum provides a supervised place to eat a lunch and drink brought from home at no additional fee.
- Full-Day Camps Run 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Campers attending full-day camps must bring their own lunch and drink.
- Science Classes for Teens Gastropods runs 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. for 10 consecutive week days. DNA Crime Lab runs 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. for five consecutive week days. NOTE: Both camps are FREE of charge. Space is limited.

Pre-registration is required for all camps. If you need to cancel your registration, a refund less 20% will be given until one week prior to the camp start date. If you need to transfer your camper from one camp and into another camp, you will be charged a $15 processing fee. Due to teacher and supply commitments, no refunds, credits or transfers can be given for cancellations made less than one week prior to the camp start date. In the unlikely event your camp is cancelled by UMNH, you may apply payment toward another program or receive a full refund. Please allow four weeks to receive refunds. |

| Drop Off and Pick Up Guidelines |
|
Bring your child to the Museum's West Entrance on Presidents Circle (200 South 1300 East, SLC). You may bring your child between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. for morning camps, between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. for afternoon. Your child will have a fun-filled experience and be ready to see you when camp ends. Meet your child at Noon or 4:00 p.m. |

Visiting the Museum during Camp
|
|
Your child will have many great experience at the Museum during his or her week at camp. They may want to experience the Museum with you! As a registered camper, you and your child will be able to visit the Museum at no charge during the week of camp. We ask that you pay regular admission for any non-registered siblings, friends, or adults who accompany you. Of course, UMNH Members always get in for free.

| Transportation |
|
If transportation is required, camp participants will be driven to and from the site in a University vehicle. Seat belts will be used. A University-certified driver will drive the vans, and their instructor and a UMNH staff member will supervise the campers.We do not transport K-1st grade campers off-site. We welcome car seats for those that need them, but are not able to provide them. |
