Digging Dinosaurs provides teachers with one-of-a-kind Museum casts of dinosaurs unearthed by Utah paleontologists. The star of the show is the complete skull cast of an as yet unnamed species of ceratops!
Students studying this specimen will, in essence, be working alongside scientists who are also studying it using the same scientific processes. Included are lesson plans to guide teachers in the best ways to incorporate these specimens into their science teaching. Students will have the opportunity to handle, observe, infer, hypothesize, and draw conclusions using these compelling and unique specimens!
At least one Digging Dinosaurs trunk will be given to each of the 40 Utah school districts to distribute among their schools and teachers.
Funding for the TRPP project is provided by the Utah State Legislature and the Utah State Office of Education's iSEE program.
