School Group Field Trip Prices
UMNH Field Trips are free for Utah Public and Charter Schools with advance reservations, funded by the Utah State Office of Education's Informal Science Education Enhancement (iSEE) program. Special prices are offered to Independent and Private Schools as well, based upon advance reservations.

Utah State Public and Charter Schools
Admission with reservations at least two weeks in advance:
UMNH Field Trips are free for students and chaperones from Utah Public and Charter Schools with advance reservations, funded by the Utah State Office of Education's Informal Science Education Enhancement (iSEE) program.
While your class can receive free admission for trips reserved at least two weeks in advance, we recommend that you request a reservation as soon as you know the day that you would like to visit. Field Trip Reservation slots do fill up.
Admission without reservations at least two weeks in advance:
- $1.25 per student
- $ .75 per student for Title I category schools
- Free for required adult chaperones
- Based upon availability

- $1.25 per student
- Free for required adult chaperones
Admission without reservations at least two weeks in advance:
- $3.50 per student
- $6.00 per required adult chaperone

General UMNH Field Trip Information and Requirements
Request a Reservation Field Trips without reservations are not recommended. Due to occupancy limits within the Museum, groups that come without a reservation may be turned away.
Teachers planning a Field Trip may visit UMNH at any time for free. Check in at the UMNH Admissions Desk.
UMNH requires a ratio of one adult for every eight students. Group chaperones are admitted free of charge on the day of the visit with advance reservations.

Buses are not allowed on Presidents Circle. Students must disembark the school buses on University Street just south of the Public Bus Stop. Please notify your driver of this University of Utah regulation. Buses may be ticketed if they enter Presidents Circle.
UMNH requests 48 hours notice for cancellation of any group visit.
