Self-Guided School Group Field Trips
Get Ready for a School Group Visit to the Museum
Request a Reservation Discounted and special pricing for School Group Field Trips is based upon making a reservation with at least two weeks advance notice. Field Trips without reservations are not recommended. Due to Museum occupancy limits, groups that arrive without a reservation may be turned away.
Recruit Adult Chaperones UMNH requires a ratio of one adult for every eight students in a group. Group chaperones are admitted free of charge on the day of the visit with advance reservations.

UMNH exhibits support many of the Utah Core Curriculum requirements. Below is a list of current permanent exhibits and the elements within them that illustrate the State Core Curriculum Standards. Lists are in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format, and are sorted by grade level.

Worksheets & Learning Guides While we strive to keep these worksheets updated, there are times when the worksheet may not coincide with an exhibit that has been changed or reorganized. Please notify us if you find discrepancies. We also know that you have developed great ways to experience the Museum. Bus Parking Buses are not allowed on Presidents Circle! Students must disembark school buses on University Street just south of the Public Bus Stop. Please notify your driver of this University of Utah regulation. Buses may be ticketed if they enter Presidents Circle.
Cancellation We request 48 hours notice for cancellation of any group visit should your plans change.
